Background
Nathalya Mamane, the founder and CEO of RT MicroDx, started her entrepreneurial journey driven by personal challenges in accessing healthcare for her children.
Before founding RT MicroDx, Nathalya was a successful entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, running an event planning company for over 15 years. Seeking more meaningful work, she returned to school to pursue an MBA at Babson College in Boston.
“At 45, with four kids, I went back to school to do my MBA. This idea came up during my studies,” she recounts. With the support of her daughter, who developed the technical plan for the home strep test, Nathalya pursued her vision. “We have a working prototype now, proving that better home testing solutions are possible,” she proudly states.
The Vision
Nathalya’s vision for RT MicroDx is to make diagnostic testing accessible and affordable globally. RT MicroDx has developed a non-invasive, single-use, highly sensitive home-based diagnostic technology that delivers accurate and rapid results, enabling faster treatment and better outcomes. “Consumers pay the price for fragmented healthcare systems. Our goal is to break down barriers of access for patients,” Nathalya explains.

Today, RT MicroDx focuses on creating affordable home-based molecular diagnostics. Their technology allows rapid detection of pathogens, significantly reducing diagnostic testing time. “We aim to provide better solutions for testing at home, leveraging telemedicine to streamline these diagnostic processes,” says Nathalya.

Nathalya’s journey with StarFinder Lab began serendipitously. The program, linked with Roche Diagnostics and aMoon, was a perfect fit. “The support from Roche and aMoon is crucial for navigating the biotech space,” she shares.
